Instrumental Lesson Policy

• Each student will be placed in a lesson group of their ability.  Click here to find your child’s lesson group.
• Lesson grade will be determined by the student’s lesson attendance and performance grades.  Please see below for requirements of each quarter.
• Lessons are scheduled on a rotating basis periods 2, 6&7.  Click here to see monthly schedule.
• Students should report to the band room before first period to get a pass for their time.
• Make-up times are built into the schedule.  They may also come down during study halls, lunch, before and after school to practice or make up a lesson.
• Each student is required to buy a lesson book and bring it to his/her lesson.    Book can be purchased through the school or ordered through any music store. Click here to see listing of books and prices.

1^st Quarter Requirement:  2 lessons and 1 grade.

2^nd Quarter Requirement: 4 lessons, two practices and 3 grades.

3^rd Quarter Requirement:  4 lessons and 3 grades.

4th Quarter Requirement:  2 lessons and 1 grade. Plus Band Final.

Note- those taking private lessons will not be required to take group school lessons, however, they are more than welcome to come and practice their band music or see teachers for extra help.
