English 11 Honors

This class continues the in depth analysis of literature and exploration of style begun in previous years.  The focus is on American Literature and the major attendant philosophical movements of our history.  Special instruction will be devoted to grammar, poetry analysis, and presentation techniques, including the use of relevant software and projection technology.  Students will also be prepared for the NYS Comprehensive Examination in English, and will begin the process of preparing for the AP Exam taken in their senior year.
