McNulty students learn at the Noteworthy Indian MuseumGrade 4 classes visit Noteworthy Indian Museum

On Tuesday, November 28th, our 4th Grade classes went to the Noteworthy Indian Museum to learn more about the Iroquois Indians that they had been studying in class. The focus was on the Mohawk tribe that lived right in this area. Mr. Palczak and Mr. Riley (a retired history teacher from Amsterdam HS) did a wonderful job teaching our students more about the Iroquois culture that existed and still exists here in the Mohawk Valley. They were able to weave storytelling within their instruction and use the excellent collection of artifacts and information in the museum that exemplified the life of the Iroquois here in NY. This museum is a gem and we are lucky to have something like this right in our city.
