Our Mission Statement
The mission of the Raphael J. McNulty Elementary School community is to prepare students in academic, civic, and social responsibilities through cooperation and communication.
Our dedicated staff will enable every child to learn life skills and appropriate curriculum in a safe, inviting environment.
History
Raphael J. McNulty Elementary School was opened in the Fall of 1964. Our school was named after a former Superintendent. In 2005,
the Board of Education named McNulty as the site of the
district's first magnet school. The name was changed to the
Raphael J. McNulty Academy for International Studies and
Literacy to reflect the school's new emphasis.

Students and staff share mutual respect.
Student Affirmation
Written by Student Council and recited daily.
We, as McNulty Students, know it is time now to turn on our light bulbs.
We promise to spend today thinking and learning, sharing and caring, being
respectful of each other, obeying all the rules and performing all the
responsibilities of a student to the best of our ability. Achieving these goals will make us proud of ourselves and of McNulty.
Parent/Community Involvement
We sponsor an active PTA offering diverse activities in educational and social areas. New participants are encouraged and welcomed on a continuing basis.
The Compact Committee is a planning and shared decision making team comprised of staff, parents, business, and community leaders. Our responsibility as a committee is to discuss issues regarding the education and welfare of our students in order to promote our school's mission.
Both meetings are open to the public. Please check the monthly school calendar for our scheduled meeting dates.
