Third-graders visit Koto's Japanese Restaurant
McNulty Academy's third-graders recently visited Koto's
Japanese Restaurant in Albany as part of their international
magnet theme curriculum.
Students ate a
variety of dishes, such as chicken, steak, shrimp, or salmon,
all served with served with rice
and vegetables. Students also tried Miso soup.
The food was excellent, but students were captivated by the Japanese
chefs who put on a show as they cooked the food on Hibachi grills
right in front of the students. Many students had never been to a Japanese restaurant
before and had never seen such an acrobatic cooking display
before.
This was an excellent trip that
tied in with the international theme and provided a
delicious lunch with entertainment as well.
