Marie Curie's fifth-graders visited the Empire State Aerosciences Museum in Scotia
recently to participate in a program titled "Model Airplanes."
This was another magnet
themed field trip in which students
toured the museum to see different
types of aircraft and the differences in their design and construction.
This was a "hands-on" activity
in which students got the chance to build their own paper
air planes step-by-step.
With the help of the instructor and other
adults, the students built their own airplanes and
decorated them with decals of their liking, which meant each
was unique in its appearance. Students got to take the
airplanes home.
This was an educational
and exciting
activity that held the students undivided attention and
curiosity.
