Marie Curie fourth-graders recently
visited the Five
Rivers Environmental Education Center in Delmar to learn
about "Stream Life."
Students
collected various animal specimens from streams and then observed
the animals to try to figure out what they were.
Students used nets, plastic containers, and magnifying
glasses to collect and study the animal specimens. Students
were given pictures and other information so they could
identify the different specimens.
The students
enjoyed the trip because it offered them the opportunity to
go out in nature and explore what it had to offer.
