Transportation in Amsterdam

Welcome to our transportation web page. The Greater Amsterdam School District has an average of 66 district trips daily, as well as 18 out-of-district trips, all of which add up to approximately 750,000 miles traveled each year! Each day, Amsterdam buses transport 2,400 public school students, 240 private and parochial students and 161 students with special needs.

We strive to operate "accident free" transportation programs. Good planning, good equipment, and a complete understanding of the duties, responsibilities and obligations of all concerned help keep hazards to a minimum.
