Under the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL), the public is entitled to inspect certain school district records. The Committee on Open Government is responsible for overseeing and advising with regard to the Freedom of Information, Open Meetings and Personal Privacy Protection Laws. FOIL requests for records maintained by the school district must be submitted in writing to the GASD Records Access Officer, The Greater Amsterdam School District, 140 Saratoga Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Please be as specific as possible in describing the records you seek. Requests can be delivered in person, mailed, faxed, or emailed.
