AHS #GobbleUpGratitude campaign

turkey posterAmsterdam High School students have found a unique way to spread kindness and gratefulness while raising funds for the AHS Backpack Program and helping needy families this holiday season.

Through the #GobbleUpGratitude campaign, students and staff are being encouraged to purchase a “feather” or feathers and post them on the giant Turkey drawing on the hall bulletin board. These aren’t just any feathers but “Kindness” feathers that include special personal messages, quotes or lyrics about kindness or something the purchaser is grateful for.

Feather donations are 25 cents per student and $1 per adult and they are being sold during lunch by National Honor Society officers. The turkey, feathers and flier were all created by students in Karen Garrison’s classes. Access the following link to view a Facebook photo gallery:
