Some 75 Pathways 10 students from Amsterdam High School put on a Positivity Expo for the fourth and fifth graders at Barkley Elementary School on Feb. 28. The morning started with John Sumpter as a guest speaker. The high school students developed mini workshops that promoted positivity in the area of Literacy, Strategic Thinking, Self-Care, and Leadership. During the sessions, students were taught that they have the power to make positive choices. Students were inspired to develop this project after reading Lord of the Flies and learning about dictators, reflecting on how in the face of darkness, love and positivity prevails.
