New location set for Amsterdam High School Graduation

A message from Principal Tyrone O’Meally:

With the large number of graduates and accompanying families this year, we had to find an alternate location to accommodate all guests. Rather than the Amsterdam high school gymnasium, which has limited capacity, we have the opportunity to move the ceremony to Fulton Montgomery Community College.

A survey was given to ensure that students and parents had input before changing the graduation ceremony to FMCC. Survey results indicated that 70% of those polled were in favor of conducting the 2019 Commencement Ceremony at Fulton Montgomery Community College, as compared to 30% that favored hosting the ceremony in the Amsterdam High School Gymnasium.

With moving the 2019 graduation ceremony to Fulton Montgomery Community College, we are now able to offer all graduates 3-4 tickets. Additionally, transportation will be available to graduating seniors and all ticket holding family members and guests. Information on this will be forthcoming.

The commencement ceremony will be held at Fulton Montgomery Community College on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:00 am.  We would like to thank Fulton Montgomery Community College  and their staff for accommodating our graduates and their families.
