  • Dr. Nellie Bush opened the meeting at 6 p.m.
  • Public Comment:
    • Michael Jennings – Parent of Ag-PTECH student. Spoke in support of Ag-PTECH and FFA Programs and the need for the district to provide transportation to the afterschool program for Ag-PTECH at SUNY Cobleskill.
    • Michael Beyer – Parent of Ag-PTECH student. Spoke regarding the need for the district to provide afterschool transportation to PTECH program at SUNY Cobleskill.
    • Madison Kilmartin – Ag-PTECH student. Spoke regarding why it’s necessary for Ag-PTECH students to attend the afterschool program at SUNY Cobleskill.  Asked that the district to find a way to provide this for these students.
    • Michael Merendo – Parent of Ag-PTECH student. Spoke regarding the need for the district to provide a bus to the afterschool Ag-PTECH Program at SUNY Cobleskill.
    • Christian Rivera – Community member. Spoke in favor of changing the voting age for School Board elections to 16 to give younger people a chance to participate.

Ms. Smith is pending certification as School District Leader. It is further recommended that Ms. Smith’s salary will be $67,210.00 for 10 months, prorated.                     • RESOLVED: that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Vicma Ramos, the Board of Education appoints Erica Elzenbeck to a four (4) year probationary appointment as a Mathematics Teacher in the Mathematics tenure area, commencing November 19, 2018 and ending November 18, 2022, contingent upon achievement of effective or highly effective APPR ratings necessary to receive tenure throughout her probationary period, consistent with the requirements of Education law Sections 2509, 3012-c and/or 3012-d. Ms. Elzenbeck holds Professional Certification in Mathematics 7-12. It is further recommended that Ms. Elzenbeck’s salary will be based on M1 Step 12 of the 2018-2019 Teacher Salary Schedule, prorated. This position is funded through the General Fund.
