All schools in the Greater Amsterdam School District were placed on lockout 10:30 a.m. Friday after the police were notified that a student made threats against Amsterdam High School. A lockout means no one is allowed to enter or leave the building until law enforcement provides clearance. Authorities are currently on campus assisting. All students who were participating in outside activities have been brought inside and outside activities are being canceled until police resume them. Coaches are also being notified of canceled practices. If you have any questions, please contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 518-853-5500.
