The Greater Amsterdam School District will implement its full redistricting plan beginning with the 2022-23 school year. The three-year phase in period is coming to an end. This is what parents can expect when students return to school in September, 2022:

• Beginning in the 2022-23 school year, all students will be in their home designated school zones in grades K-5.
• Due to building capacity, GASD will not allow parents to transport their children outside of their designated home school zone.
• Parent notifications of school zone placement are according to the primary parent’s current address listed and will be sent to parents/guardians no later than June 15, 2022. Notification of address changes made to the district after June 15, 2022 may result in a change of school placement pending zone and space availability.
• Because Special Education programs differ at every building, students in the same household may not be placed together.
