The Greater Amsterdam School District will collect tax payments for the fourth installment of the 2018-19 school year between April 23 and 25. District Treasurer Ann Phelps will collect approved forms of payment on the following times and dates:
- Dates: Tuesday, April 23; Wednesday, April 24; and Thursday, April 25
- Times: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.
- Where: District Office, 140 Saratoga Ave., Amsterdam
The fourth installment of tax payments is due Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Taxpayers may still mail tax payments to PO Box 14526, Albany NY 12212-4526.
Approved forms of payment
Taxpayers may bring with them a completed and signed personal check, money order, bank check, or certified check made payable to the Greater Amsterdam School District. No cash will be accepted. Taxpayers will be provided with a receipt acknowledging a check and tax stub(s) were received. However, the receipt will not include the amount paid. NERIC, which processes all payments, will issue those receipts by mail.
How to enter the District Office
All taxpayers must use the District Office entrance, which can be found either by using the small parking lot on Miami Avenue, or by following the long sidewalk toward the rock climbing tower. All taxpayers must sign in at reception.
