Teachers will take attendance daily both in an in-classroom and virtual setting. Those students who are chronically absent will be contacted, through multiple methods (letters, phone calls, email, Spanish translation services, attorneys, etc.), by the school district and school principals.
At the elementary and secondary level, the district will utilize its student management system (eSchool) to track daily student attendance for in-person learning. To track participation in remote learning, district staff will utilize a shared Google spreadsheet. Teachers of record will be responsible for communicating participation with clerical staff who will update the spreadsheet daily.
The attendance team at each school will monitor in-person attendance and participation in remote learning, utilizing our multi-tiered system to communicate with and support student engagement in learning.
