High school students and teacher honored by Montgomery County Executive

May 26, 2017

Four Amsterdam High School students and one teacher were recently honored by Montgomery County Executive Matthew Ossenfort.

The five were recognized at a breakfast at the Winner’s Circle in Fonda, as a celebration of the strengths of the students and their potential to contribute to their community.

Ossenfort and Montgomery County Supreme Court Justice Joseph Sise spoke at the breakfast, focusing on resilience in the face of adversity, as well as the students’ value to the community.

In keeping with the theme, each honoree was asked to respond to the question, “Why are you made of something stronger?”

Those honored included Kelsey Veeder, Timothy Kline, Victoria Barone-Lopez, Calynn Vitus, and Mr. Kevin Wilary. Congratulations!
