Introducing the Testing & Learning Center (TLC)

August 29, 2018

During the 2018-19 school year, all high school students will have access to a new Testing & Learning Center, or TLC. The TLC is located in room A12, which is accessible through the Media Center.

What is it?

The TLC is a quiet place for learning and support. It can be used by teachers as a testing or learning center for all students. Teachers can arrange for students to come to the TLC to make up work from frequent absences. As the year progresses, high school leaders will work to staff the room with National Honor Society students to tutor their peers throughout the day. This is not an advisory room, and students are not permitted to use the room without academic goals.

When should I visit the TLC?

TLC is for students who need additional time taking a test, space to receive extra homework help and for students.

When is the TLC room available?

There will be a teacher and support staff available in the TLC every period, including lunches from 7:45 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. Assisted technology will be available for students.
