Congratulations to Amsterdam High School senior Garrett McHeard, who was selected as one of the overall recipients for the scholar-athlete award presented annually by the National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame. This award is presented to the top scholar-athletes for their excellence in academics, football performance, and leadership. A dinner was held on Sunday, May 22 at the Crowne Plaza Desmond Inn in Albany.
