For the sixth year, students at McNulty Academy participated in the Kids Heart Challenge to raise money for the American Heart Association.
Throughout the week, McNulty students have taken part in the Kids Heart Challenge obstacle course as part of their physical education classes. Students also have participated in jump rope activities. On Monday, Feb. 11, McNulty held a family night where participants had the opportunity to explore the heart via an obstacle course set up in the gym.
“I started doing Jump Rope for Heart because everybody has been touched by heart disease and I love how the program lets students help others,” said McNulty physical education teacher Christine Dylong. “It also encourages and teaches them how to take care of their own heart.”
Students are collecting donations for the American Heart Association through Feb. 15. If you would like to donate visit american.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge and search for McNulty Academy.
