McNulty Elementary students recently jumped their little hearts out, raising more than $6,300 for the American Heart Association.

For the fourth year in a row, the students participated in the “Jump Rope for Heart” initiative during their physical education classes.

On Tuesday, May 16, Alithea Athens from the American Heart Association came to the school for an assembly where the students presented her with a check for $6,325.63.

Through “Jump Rope for Heart” kids learn jump rope skills, how their heart works and raise money to help kids with special hearts.
