Congratulations to McNulty Academy K-5 Math teacher Kristina Murray who was nominated to be part of a small group of teachers given special recognition by WMHT Public Media. The honor came during Teacher Appreciation Week celebrated earlier this month.

Murray was nominated for her enthusiasm and commitment to learn new techniques and methods of teaching and her ability to motivate children as they learn reading, language arts and math. She works with students after school to create a school newspaper with a great deal of student engagement and excitement.

“This is so exciting and well deserved,” said McNulty Principal Tina O’Brien “Ms. Murray works so well with her students and is innovative with her teaching. She has been a key person for our Lego Robotic Club and is always so excited to share her ideas with other classroom teachers. She demonstrates all that a teacher should be for children to learn, be nurtured, feel confident and be successful.”
