Nearly 250 students participate in the Lynch Literacy Academy Moving Up Ceremony

June 26, 2019

Nearly 250 eighth graders participated in the Lynch Literacy Academy (LLA) Moving Up Ceremony on Wednesday, June 26.

The eighth graders entered the Amsterdam High School Gymnasium surrounded by loved ones, administrators, board members and staff.  All were in attendance to celebrate the students accomplishments and provide recognition for their hard work as they head off to high school in the fall.

Principal Hanan congratulated the students and spoke to them about taking the next steps in their academic journey.

Vice President of the Student Council Ryleigh Phillips told the class she felt lucky to be a part of this class. “We are the class of 2023,” she said.

A musical selection was played by the LLA Chorus under the direction of Dalisa Soto-Peruzzi, Director.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception took place in the cafeteria for students and families.
