The GASD Hall of Fame is currently accepting nominations for the Hall of Fame Class of 2023. Nominations will be accepted through May 1.

The Hall of Fame consists of an Athletic Wing and an Academic Wing. There are 70 former Amsterdam High School students or coaches and teachers enshrined. The induction ceremony takes place the Friday of Homecoming weekend. This year’s date has not yet been set.

Besides recognizing those individuals who have excelled in athletics while in high school and those who have made significant contributions in the area of academics or humanitarian endeavors, the Hall also recognizes non-graduate individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Greater Amsterdam School District as a coach or teacher, etc.

To be eligible for induction you must have graduated from AHS or retired from the district at least five years ago.

If you know of someone worthy of induction in either wing, you can obtain nominating forms in the office of athletics at Amsterdam High School. Forms are also available on the district website.
