Congratulations to Amsterdam High School senior Chaun’J Ramos, who signed a letter of intent to attend Central Connecticut State University and run track. A signing ceremony was held June 16 in the AHS gym with his coaches and family beside him.
Ramos was a five-year member of the AHS Varsity Track team and a member of the Indoor Track squad holding a school record as part of the 4 X 800 meter relay team. He is a unique athlete who competed in a variety of high school varsity events including sprints, distance, and the pole vault. He will be a mid-runner at CCSU. Academically, Ramos was enrolled in the Smart Scholars program at AHS.
