Register to vote by May 4 for next budget vote/school board election

Last June, the voters of the Greater Amsterdam School District (GASD) passed a proposition to have continuous voter registration for district budget votes and school board elections. This means that if you are a qualified voter of the Greater Amsterdam School District but are NOT a registered voter with Montgomery County (you aren’t registered to vote in general elections), you can register with the GASD to vote in school district elections at any time.

If you are not already a registered voter but would like to register with the district to vote in GASD budget votes and school board elections, you may do so on any workday between the hour of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Central Office located at 140 Saratoga Avenue. You will need to show proof of residency by bringing a valid driver’s license (or non-driver ID).

Please call the District Clerk at (518) 843-3180, Ext. 7801 for more information or to make an appointment to register. The next GASD budget vote and school board election will be held on Tuesday, May 18. The last day to register for this vote is Tuesday, May 4.
