Lynch Literacy Academy Media Center

Welcome to the Lynch Literacy Academy Media Center

The Lynch Media Center provides a space for students to focus on their academics by providing resources to garner a wide knowledge base.  We offer 6,000 titles for student selection as well as several online resources for topic-specific research.

The primary goal of our instruction is to help students transition from the interdependent skills they have mastered in elementary school to the independent skills needed to meet academic expectations in high school.  This includes finding credible sources on-line, avoiding plagiarism, and learning how to navigate the vast resources available in the library.

Hours of Operation

The library is open from 7:45 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.

Library Catalog

The Lynch Media Center uses an online catalog powered by HFM BOCES – School Library System,  that can help you find the library’s resources by title, author, subject, series, call number, and keyword search. You can also access the catalog from computers in the school’s classrooms or computers at home.

Facilities and Resources

The media center is open to all students who have academic work to do.  This typically occurs during advisory periods or at the discretion of individual teachers.  In addition, teachers may schedule library time for a variety of reasons.
