The Greater Amsterdam School District proudly recognizes two outstanding student athletes for their exceptional performances this past week.
Soccer – Jayla Waithe
Jayla, a third-year varsity player as a freshman, demonstrated her strength on the field with 10 shots on goal and 5 goals scored. She played a key role in setting up her team’s offense, using her foot skills and through balls to the outside forwards to create multiple scoring opportunities.
Football – Rocco Natale Jr.
Rocco had a standout game on both sides of the ball. He recorded 8 receptions for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns, including a long reception of 87 yards. On defense, he added 6 tackles and an interception, averaging 22.75 yards per catch on offense.
