Members of the Amsterdam High School indoor track and field team delivered standout performances this season, highlighted by new school records and sectional qualifications.
Danny McGhee set a new Amsterdam indoor school record in the shot put with a throw of 32 feet, 3 inches. McGhee also qualified for sectionals in the weight throw.
Sebastian Herndon established a new school record in the 200 meters, posting a time of 23.81 seconds during indoor competition.
Edwin Quiles-Monje also qualified for sectionals in the weight throw, adding to the team’s success in field events.
These performances reflect the continued progress of Amsterdam’s indoor track and field program and the dedication of its student-athletes throughout the season.
