Amsterdam High School student-athlete Leila Brooks recently reached a major milestone for the Amsterdam Rams softball program, recording her 200th career strikeout.
The accomplishment reflects Brooks’ consistency and performance in the circle throughout her varsity career. Known for her competitive approach and command on the mound, Brooks has played a key role in the Rams’ success.
The milestone comes after years of work both during the season and in the offseason, where Brooks has continued to develop her skills and contribute as a leader for the program.
“Reaching 200 career strikeouts is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the work Leila has put into her game,” Amsterdam High School Athletic Director John Salls said. “Her dedication, competitiveness and leadership have made a significant impact on our softball program. We are proud of everything she has accomplished and excited to see what she continues to achieve.”
Brooks continues to add to her career totals as the Rams move through the remainder of the season.
