Amsterdam High School recently welcomed local businesses, organizations and industry professionals for a schoolwide Job Fair designed to help students explore future career opportunities.
The event brought together representatives from a variety of career fields, including healthcare, skilled trades, education, business, public service and other industries, giving students the opportunity to learn directly from professionals about potential career pathways available after high school or college.
Students were able to visit booths, ask questions, discuss career interests and gain insight into the education, training and experience needed for different professions.
“Our goal is to help students explore the many opportunities available to them and begin thinking about their future goals,” Amsterdam High School Principal Molly Schaefer said. “This job fair gave students a chance to engage with professionals from a wide range of industries and better understand the different paths they can take after graduation.”
District officials said the event also highlighted the strong partnership between Amsterdam High School and the local business community, with many organizations volunteering their time to help students prepare for future success.
The district thanked all participating businesses and organizations for supporting Amsterdam High School students and helping make the event possible.
