Congratulations to the three winners of the GASD Districtwide Spelling Bee that was held on Jan. 24, at the Amsterdam High School. These winners will advance to the next level of competition, taking the 50-question online Regional test for the Scripps National Spelling Bee between Feb. 5, and Feb. 13. The top performers on the Online Regional Test will progress to the 2024 New York Regional Bee, a virtual event on Zoom scheduled for March 2.

The Districtwide Spelling Bee featured participants from grade 4 to 8, representing McNulty Academy, Marie Curie Institute, Barkley Elementary School, Tecler Elementary School, and Lynch Literacy Academy. These contestants won their respective school spelling bees earlier this year.
