The athletics program in GASD continues to thrive and receives great support from the community.

The district believes that participation in sports provides a wealth of opportunities and experiences that assist students in their education. The district offers more than 14 sports across three seasons to its student athletes.

GASD is a member of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, competing as a Class A school in Section II. League affiliation is with the Foothills Council.

• Arbiter Registration

Registration for Amsterdam athletic teams is online through Arbiter Registration, formerly known as FamilyID. Registrations should be completed through the registration link above. 

Once a registration is complete, Arbiter registration automatically saves the information so parents and guardians can re-use it to sign up for subsequent programs. 

Physical exam forms should be uploaded with registrations. All student-athletes will need current copies of physicals to start a new sport season. Physicals expire 12 months after the date of the health exam. No athlete will be permitted to play or try out with an expired physical.
