Kacy Centi, a fourth grade teacher at Marie Curie Elementary School, has been selected as one of 13 educators in the Capital Region to receive this year’s Teacher Supply Surprise. The recognition program provides teachers with funds and resources to support classroom needs.
After being nominated, Centi was chosen to receive a $250 gift card for classroom supplies. In addition to the gift card, she will have the opportunity to participate in a shopping event for next year’s classroom needs.
As part of the program, Centi will be featured on NewsChannel 13 and will join the NewsChannel 13 Today morning team for the shopping event. The event will take place Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Walmart in Clifton Park.
The Teacher Supply Surprise aims to highlight the efforts of local educators and support them in creating engaging learning environments. Greater Amsterdam School District congratulates Centi on this recognition and thanks her for her commitment to students.
