Book Donation

McNulty Elementary School recently received a donated copy of Winley and the Butterfly for its school library. The book was gifted in honor of author Mariana Scott, a retired prekindergarten teacher from the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District.

The donation was made possible by the Moodswingers, a golf league based at the Fox Run Golf Club, who purchased and distributed copies of the book to several local schools. McNulty was selected as one of the recipients.

Terri Brown, a former librarian at Barkley and Tecler elementary schools, personally delivered the book to McNulty on Friday, June 20. The book arrived shelf-ready thanks to the support of the HFM BOCES School Library System.

The donation was a welcome surprise for the school and will be added to the library’s collection for student use. Staff expressed their appreciation for the generous gift and the opportunity to share Scott’s work with students.

McNulty Elementary thanks the Moodswingers, Mariana Scott, Terri Brown, and HFM BOCES SLS for their contributions to student literacy and support of school libraries.
