McNulty Academy fifth graders led the first Leader in Me assembly of the school year, introducing Habit 5: “Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood.”
The students guided their peers through activities focused on listening with empathy and understanding others before sharing their own perspectives. They also connected the habit to the book Wonder, which they are reading in small groups, highlighting how themes of kindness and empathy appear throughout the story.
Their clear communication and confident presentations reflected outstanding leadership and school pride.
