Ten fifth-grade students from Tecler Elementary School were recognized Monday night with nominations for the Sandra P. Morley Physical Education Leadership Award.
The award recognizes students who consistently demonstrate responsible personal and social behavior, sportsmanship, citizenship, leadership and a commitment to maintaining an active lifestyle. Nominees are also recognized for serving as positive role models throughout the school day, both inside and outside of physical education classes.

Tecler Elementary Principal John Miller said the recognition reflects the students’ character and leadership throughout the school community.
“These students consistently demonstrate leadership, kindness and responsibility in everything they do,” Miller said. “We are proud of the positive example they set for their peers each day, and this recognition is well deserved.”
The Sandra P. Morley Physical Education Leadership Award honors students who display strong character, a desire to learn and improve, and a commitment to being positive contributors within their school communities.
