Planning for a Career

Military Information

Throughout the course of the school year, military representatives visit our school to meet with any interested students. Please listen to the announcements or check with the School Counseling office for times and dates.

Federal law requires that the names and addresses of juniors and seniors be accessible to any military branch.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational aptitude Battery) Career assessment will be given every November for students in grades 10-12.  See your counselor to sign up or for more information.

Military Disclosure

School districts are required to disclose to military recruiters and institutions of higher learning, upon request, the names, addresses and telephone numbers of our high school students. However, parents or students may request, in writing, that the district NOT release such information. Parents, or students who are at least 18 years old, may exercise the option to withhold their consent to release this information by contacting Principal Tyrone O’Meally at tomeally@gasd.org.
