Eddy Harrison (Golf)

Gianna Crespo-Julia (XC): Gianna led her team to a league meet win over Gloversville on Tuesday. At Saturday’s KDawg Invitational, she finished 6th out of 137 girls, running 19:28 over the 3 mile course. Out of 17 teams, Gianna’s run led our Amsterdam Rams to a 2nd place finish.

Eddy Harrison (Golf): Last week Eddy shot a 42 against Gloversville at home. On Wednesday, we played in the Boys Foothills Golf Tournament. Eddy placed 5th. He shot an 82 at Airway Meadows.

More nominated athletes for Fall Athletics Week 4

Jadiel Avilles (Soccer): Jadiel has shown great improvement throughout the season. Not just technically, but taking on the responsibility of his role for the team. Against Johnstown, his defensive pressure allowed for quick counters to happen, and offensively he is finding himself in the right spots to make passes leading to goal scoring chances. For a player brand new to the program, his effort, and coachability, has shown this past week it's paying off.

Nathan MCGaffin (XC): Nate has been a key addition to the team scoring in meets this year. He has made a huge improvement with his run times compared to the last few seasons.  Last week at the Foothills South League meet in Johnstown Nate ran a 20:37 to help Amsterdam beat Gloversville and over the weekend at the K-Dawg invitational Nate ran a 20:00 flat which is his personal best so far.

Victoria Vidulich (tennis): Tori had an incredibly strong week of tennis, winning 2 out of 4 matches (the sole winner vs South Glens Falls). She continues to grow each week; hitting faster and more powerful shots. She will be a force at individual sectionals later this month!

Madisyn Meca (Soccer): Last week Madisyn had 2 goals in the girls first win against Johnstown. She had over 10 crosses and shots combined on goal and our only 2 goals to show for it. She also contributes to multiple crosses per game to help set up plays and goals.

Payton Hoefs (Volleyball): Payton is a captain of our team. She leads by example. She is a very positive role model and takes charge on the court. Her stats vs. Johnstown helped lead us to victory are 6 aces, 4 kills, and 9 assists. She totaled 24 points.
