Mock Trial Seniors

Every year, the legal community commemorates Law Day on May 1, celebrating the role of law in our society. The Montgomery County Bar Association extended an invitation to the Greater Amsterdam School District (GASD) Mock Trial seniors to participate in the Law Day Luncheon. Additionally, for the past four years, they have organized an essay and poster contest, aligning with the annual Law Day theme. This year's theme, "Voices of Democracy," inspired students to showcase their creativity and understanding of the importance of democracy in our nation.

Isabella Rivera secured first place with her exceptional contribution, earning her a well-deserved prize of $100. Following closely behind, Faith Baniqued clinched second place, earning $75 for her efforts. Brianna Harper, a sophomore, displayed her talent by winning third place, earning $50 for her outstanding achievement.

The GASD community commends all the students for their dedication and creativity in producing such compelling posters. Their exceptional work not only reflects their artistic skills but also demonstrates a deep understanding of the principles of democracy that are foundational to our nation.

GASD remains committed to nurturing the talents and intellect of its students, providing them with opportunities to excel both academically and creatively. Events like the Law Day Luncheon and contests such as the essay and poster competition serve as platforms for students to showcase their abilities and contribute meaningfully to society.
