This past weekend, two students from Amsterdam High School, Alexandra Forte and Victoria Forte, represented the Greater Amsterdam School District at the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar held at SUNY Albany. Alexandra Forte was the winner of our leadership essay contest, and her participation was funded by the GASD Education Foundation.
HOBY Leadership Seminars are held annually, providing an invaluable opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills. AHS is proud to participate in this program every year, sending students to engage in leadership training, community service, and personal development activities.
We commend Alexandra and Victoria for their outstanding representation of AHS and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on our community.
