Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to share information about the Amsterdam High School 2025 Summer School programs for students in grades 9–12. This year, summer school will be offered in two formats—virtual for grades 9 and 10, and in-person for grades 11 and 12.
Grades 9 & 10 - Virtual Summer School through HFM BOCES
Dates: Classes begin Monday, July 14 – Thursday, August 14, (no classes on Fridays)
Registration: Eligible students will be contacted and registered by their guidance counselor.
Attendance: Daily attendance is required. Students must log in and participate for the full hour to recover course credit. Four (4) missed classes may result in removal from that class.
Chromebook Pickup: Students enrolled in the virtual program who need a device may pick up a Chromebook at Amsterdam High School on one of the following dates:
Tuesday, July 8 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Thursday, July 10 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Grades 11 & 12 - In Person Summer School
Program: In-Person Summer School at Amsterdam High School
Dates: Monday, July 14 – Monday, August 18.
Schedule:
Classes will run Monday through Thursday (no classes on Fridays)
Students should arrive by 9 a.m.; classes begin promptly at 9:05 a.m.
Dismissal is at 12 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily at no cost.
