Award

Greater Amsterdam School District Athletic Trainer Carla Pasquarelli was recently honored at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Convention in Orlando, Florida. Pasquarelli received the Servant’s Heart Award, which is presented to a select group of athletic trainers from across the country. She was one of only twelve individuals nationally recognized for this award.

The Servant’s Heart Award acknowledges athletic trainers who go above and beyond in their commitment to service, student-athlete care, and leadership in the profession. The award highlights qualities such as compassion, teamwork, and advocacy in sports safety and injury prevention. Recipients are nominated by their peers and selected based on their contributions to both their schools and communities.

Pasquarelli has long been a committed presence at Amsterdam High School and within the district, providing support for student-athletes across all sports. In addition to injury care and prevention, she also plays an important role in promoting health education and safe athletic practices. Her work ensures that students are not only supported physically, but also understand the importance of wellness in athletics.

The Greater Amsterdam School District congratulates Pasquarelli on this national recognition. Her dedication reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to student health and safety.
