The Greater Amsterdam School District will host a parent forum at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, in the Amsterdam High School Student Center. The forum will take place immediately before the high school tour at 1 p.m.
For the 2025-2026 School year, New York State is implementing a bell-to-bell cell phone ban. We are in our second year of implementing cell phone-free schools.
The purpose of the forum is to gather feedback from parents and guardians on the district’s updated cell phone policy. District leaders will be available to answer questions and listen to concerns as part of the ongoing effort to support a safe and focused learning environment for all students.
Families who are unable to attend are encouraged to share their input by completing the district’s cell phone policy survey.
