Summer Clinic

The Greater Amsterdam School District’s Sports Clinic ran as a six-week program in conjunction with the Amsterdam Summer Camp. Coaches from multiple athletic programs worked with students on skills across a variety of sports.

Attendance ranged from 50 to 80 students each day.

Programs like the Sports Clinic provide students with opportunities to stay active, learn new skills and build healthy habits. They also foster teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship, helping students develop both physically and socially during the summer months.

On Aug. 7, News Channel 13’s Chris Onorato visited the clinic and featured it in a story, highlighting the program’s impact in the community.

The district thanks the following individuals for their support: Mayor Michael Cinquanti, Sen. Patricia Fahy, Superintendent Richard Ruberti, Board of Education President Rev. Kent McHeard, Athletic Director John Salls, Athletic Trainer Carla Pasquarelli, Recreational Director Rob Spagnola, Creative Connections Assistant Director John Sumpter and Photographer Robert Rodriguez.

The district also thanks all coaches who dedicated their time to the clinic’s success.
