The Greater Amsterdam School District is proud to welcome a talented group of new teachers and staff members for the 2025-26 school year. From elementary to high school, as well as districtwide positions, these educators bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to supporting the success of all students.
At Amsterdam High School, the district welcomes Alexander Kline (math), Charolette Rodio (social worker), Andrew Giaimo (business), and Nicole Georgelas (math). Joining the districtwide team are Gianna Deros (occupational therapy), Kathryn Cabrera (occupational therapy), and Kristina Coughlin (CSE/CPSE chairperson).
Marie Curie Elementary welcomes Miranda LaFountain (special education), Julianna Mather (first grade), Lindsey Sands (special education), and Gabrielle Stanavich (kindergarten). McNulty Elementary adds Francesca DeRosa (kindergarten), Marisa Cannatella (special education), Tamera Marsicano (first grade), Sarah Olsen (fourth grade), and Jillian Sparano (fourth grade). Tecler Elementary welcomes Jamie Becker (third grade), Nicholas Lomanto (fifth grade), Nina Fedullo (kindergarten), and Leah Willibrant (special education).
At Lynch Middle School, new staff members include Chelsi Bates (guidance), Hannah Decker (social studies), Kristen Przybylo (English), Kaitlyn Smith (family and consumer sciences), Tommie Sutton (special education), and Rebecca Tennyson (science).
Superintendent Richard Ruberti expressed his excitement for the new additions to the district. “We are thrilled to welcome such an outstanding group of educators and staff members to GASD,” Ruberti said. “Each of them brings unique skills and talents that will help us continue to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for our students. I am confident they will make a positive impact in our schools and community.”
