Through the support of the Greater Amsterdam School District Educational Foundation and the Marching Band Boosters, the Amsterdam Dance Team traveled to New York City on Nov. 6 to participate in a clinic with the world-famous Radio City Rockettes.
The students attended a workshop where they trained shoulder to shoulder with the professional dancers, learning precision and performance techniques to prepare for their upcoming appearance in the Schenectady Holiday Parade.
In addition to the clinic, the team attended the opening night of the Rockettes’ Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall—an unforgettable experience that set the stage for their participation in the Capital Region’s kickoff to the holiday season.
