The Greater Amsterdam School District Inclusion Squad is gearing up to take the annual Polar Plunge on Friday, Nov. 22, and they’re calling on the community to help them reach their fundraising goal of $22,000 in support of Unified Sports.
With just days to go, the team is $14,000 away from its goal and is encouraging everyone to get involved by joining the team or donating to one of the student or staff participants. Every contribution helps support Unified programs that promote inclusion, teamwork, and friendship among students of all abilities.
GASD is proud to be a K–12 Unified Champion School, offering programs including Young Athletes, Junior Athletes, Unified PE (grades 6–12), Unified Bocce, Unified Bowling, Unified Basketball, and Unified Cheer. Last year, the Inclusion Squad raised $21,000 and sent 84 athletes to the State Games — an achievement they hope to top this year.
Participants who sign up are asked to fill out their shirt size using the Google Form below so team shirts can be ordered. Shirts are being generously sponsored by Scott Beatty.

The Inclusion Squad will join teams from across the region as they brave the chilly waters — all for a great cause — in celebration of inclusion, unity, and school spirit.
