Kindergarten students in Ms. Lis’s classroom at Tecler Elementary School recently participated in a classroom leadership activity designed to introduce students to responsibility and decision-making.
As part of the activity, students completed applications for classroom leadership roles and participated in an interview process. Interviews were conducted by Mr. Hisert and Ms. Dolly, who asked students questions related to the responsibilities of each role.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to practice communication skills, demonstrate responsibility, and build confidence. Students then assumed leadership roles within their classroom.
This experience supports the Greater Amsterdam School District’s focus on developing leadership skills and responsibility in students at all grade levels.
